Its ridiculous that the loan officers are not able to give out their best rate up front. I reach out to a local lender whos rate was much better. I called Dan to let him know. He agreed to match it and told me they are unable to be competitive on the initial rate. I also never received any swag. I read veterans united reviews and a lot of people mentioned they got swag sent to them after closing

Everything was going smoothly until the final month when i finally found a property I liked. My realtor was amazing, however my POC Kayla was horrible. She isnt at work in the mornings, so having something done first thing (which matters in these transactions) it wont happen. She has no idea what is going on and will just say whatever she can to get off the phone with you happy (even if the information is wrong). She told me we were closing numerous times but she failed to send my documents to the title company for several hours when we all were trying to contact her and she either wouldn't answer or would say it would be done within the hour and never send it. Overall, she ruined what could have been a semi fun experience for me, made me miss work numerous times by telling me i had to be somewhere when i didnt and just has no idea what she is doing.
Sean and his team were amazing! We definitely couldn't have done it without them. They made our home buying experience a breeze. We had a couple hurdles to get past before we could qualify and the pros at the Lighthouse Program at VU told us what we needed to do to qualify and they were spot on! Once we received our pre-approval, we found a home, went under contract and closed within 27 days - amazing! My advice.... listen to your loan officer!! When you get something added to your to-do list... do it right now! The benefits are worth it, trust me. Sean, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We have a beautiful home that we are proud of and can't wait to show our family and friends. If we ever decide to sell this home & buy another, VU will be our first call.
Honestly the best VA loan experience we could have asked for, our case was a difficult one and Veterans United was always quick on their feet even with a huge time difference (we’re on the west coast) to help us get into our new home!
