Everyone at VA united was absolutely helpful and was awesome , thank you all for everything
Better communications than other companies. Always responsive to our concerns. Attentive to when and how changes in interest rates and how it can save money for their clients.
I have always been told buying a house was very nerve-wracking and a nightmare...thanks to Matt and company I didn't experience anything remotely close to that. In fact, my buying a house experience was awesome and so smooth that it made me nervous. I have no doubt it was due to the incredible job Matt did behind the scenes. THANKS EVERYONE FOR MY BEAUTIFUL HOME!!!
Outstanding, I will be using VU again on my next move.

The whole team was amazing! David, Nate, and Megan were like the dream team in helping us throughout this process. Couldn't be happier!
Derek and Jared went above and beyond to ensure I had an excellent experience!
I would highly recommend veterans United for any military personnel currently serving, veteran, or retiree that is looking to buy a house. They made the process extremely easy!
Knowledgeable, Kind, Efficient
An exceptional job on keeping me informed on the process and what to expect.Communication was key about what was needed from me to close and it was done Professionally . Well done Thanks!
My loan was small and ultimately throughout the loan process we did not feel that our loan was worth the loan team' time. We (myself and my realtor's team) were constantly having to reach out, often multiple times to obtain updates. The team would provide an estimated close date and that day would come and go without an update. My loan officer in particular was not great regarding follow-up for things that actually impacted payment. My loan was impounded despite the fact that I was asked to put 25% down, instead of 20% When I asked whether we could remove the taxes and insurance from the monthly payment, my loan officer said he could probably have them waived, but there was never follow-up and in the end the loan was impounded. Frustrating experience. I am told that Veterans United is overall very good and that my experience may be limited to my particular team.
Response from Veterans United
Hey Michael,
I’m really sorry to hear that your experience left you feeling like your loan didn’t receive the attention it deserved. I can understand how discouraging it must have been to have to keep reaching out for updates and to see closing dates pass without communication. You should never feel overlooked—no matter the size of your loan.
We always want every borrower to feel valued and informed throughout the process, and I’m sorry that wasn’t your experience this time. Your feedback helps us see where we can do better, especially when it comes to timely follow-up and clear communication around payment details. I’d really like for my Client Advocate team to review your experience and make sure your concerns are fully understood. You can reach us at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com.
We’re available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time and will follow up the next business day if you reach out after hours.
This was our first home, so I had no idea of what to expect when it came to take those first nervous steps. Then I found Veterans United while scrolling through Facebook, and my journey began. Will had such a great personality and helped me 100% along the way. If I had questions, day or night, I knew I could call will and he made sure I was satisfied! Thanks will for all you have done and continue to do for my fellow brothers and sisters in Arms! Our family is a happier family now that we have a place to call home!
My team at VU was awesome, from my loan officer to the realtor that helped us out! Megan, Lexi, and Logan were helpful, responsive, and knowledgeable. They made the process smooth and took time to answer all of our concerns. Now, we're upgrading to what I can only say is a dream home. We couldn't have done it without the team at VU!-Bryan S.
No correspondence from my loan whatsoever. I would leave voicemails and no return calls at all. This was my first experience with United Veterans and unsure about the process. Most of the information I had to reach out to my realtor, who by the way, spoke to my loan team more than I did.

Hey Michael,
I’m really sorry to hear about the lack of communication during your loan process. I can only imagine how frustrating that must have been, especially as a first-time homebuyer trying to understand each step. You deserved consistent updates and timely responses from your loan team, and I’m sorry that didn’t happen.
We always want our borrowers to feel informed and supported, and your feedback helps us pinpoint where we fell short. I’d like for my Client Advocate team to take a closer look into your experience and see how we can improve moving forward. You can reach us at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com.
