I started this homebuying process with a different mortgage company because a friend worked there, but the experience quickly became difficult and unorganized. Switching back to Veterans United — and specifically to Kayla Stiers — was the best decision I could have made.Kayla and her team made everything smooth, clear, and stress-free from start to finish. They stayed on top of every detail before I even had to ask, communicated quickly, and made the whole process feel simple. Their professionalism and kindness really stand out.The day after I signed, they even had a package of gifts waiting for me at the new house. That level of thoughtfulness meant a lot and showed me how much they truly care about their clients.If you’re buying a home and want a team that treats you right, supports you the whole way, and truly earns your trust, I can’t recommend Kayla Stiers and Veterans United enough. There is no way I could have done this on my own and other loan companies made the process seem daunting and overly complex. With the guidance of my loan officer from Veterans United, I never felt uneasy about what to do next or if I wasn't getting enough information. He made all of the difference for me and I really felt like I was his main priority. My journey was a breeze thanks to him!
I had such an amazing experience! My team guided me the entire way! Tom, Amanda, CJ literally everyone involved. I never felt uneasy during the process even as a first time buyer with minimal knowledge. The consistency and follow ups let me know I had a team that cared about getting me the best rate/ bang for my buck. I would definitely recommend 1000 times over.

I still am in awe of how smooth the process was through VA United. I couldn't have had a better team working with me! I really did not know what to expect and feel as I got blindsided with emotions. The reassurance and constant communication from the beginning eased most of that tension. Once the process started moving along I got more confident in my choice. I was a bit skeptical of some work history, health related related situations on my end that would have impacted negatively - which did not be the case in the end. Having a chance to not only obtain permanent housing for myself, I did with the hardwork accomplished to get there. I hope every Veteran that is serious about owning a home get the chance to do so. It will be a fun, exciting, fulfilling and rewarding experience I hope to thrive in going forward! Could not have done it without you all and thank you for giving me the quality of life I deserved.
It has been 24 years since my husband separated from the Army and we have never before pursued using his VA loan benefit, so the process was new to us. I was hesitant to go this route simply based on the fact that we knew nothing about the process and this was our third home purchase in 21 years. We got great service from everyone at VU! And there was so much we didn't know and needed to have explained along the way. The biggest thing that stands out in my mind about our experience is how EASY everything was and how seamlessly the process was from initial loan approval to closing. We got the keys to our home yesterday (10/25) and our closing date was 11/4!
