If I could give Joe Schumacher a 10+ or 11, I would. He not only met my expectations but exceeded it. Our closure deadline was for the 15th and he nailed it on the 13th! It was an outstanding and exceptional job by Joe and his competent professional and tenacious team who always stuck with me, communicated regularly and just beat their competition. It needs not be said that their competition is also a national player yet the Veterans United Team led by Joe and his dynamic can-do team beat them to the finish line and then some. Veterans United earned my respect to be number ONE.
From the beginning of my initial contact with Veterans United Home Loans to the closing on our new home, not once did I ever feel uncomfortable or mistreated or was given unsound or incorrect advice during the whole process. Everyone, from beginning to end, was 100% professional and overwhelmingly polite and went out of their way to make sure I had everything I was going to need before going to closing and making sure there were no last minute problems, which there were none. I am a 100% Disabled Veteran, and I wouldn't say this if it were not my true feelings. It's a lot dealing with all the different people and communicating back and forth in a process that's already overwhelming no matter who you go through. I rate it above average, I'm glad its over.

The whole loan process is rather intimidating at first, but this loan team really knows how to tame it down. They never left you with any unanswered questions, or feeling like you didn't understand what was expected. It couldn't have been smoother!
The overall process was smooth and communication was great. The only hiccup was with the appraisal coming in late.
