Very nice doing business with you guys
There was too many things that popped up last minute and after the fact that had to be fix, adjusted and I constantly felt like ai was jumping through hoops and having to prove myself.Better heads up and proactive-ness on loan team would have been better, and a loan officer that wasn't taking time off during the process, though I do understand this took almost a month longer to close than it was supposed to. I felt everything was more reactionary then proactive.I felt like throwing my hands up several times and saying im done, this is ridiculous. So I dont know if I'd recommend VU to anyone right now. Just have to wait and see how I feel after cool down from this experience .In the end we did finally close, but I felt like I was fighting more then I should have had to, to get this deal done.Since im being forced to select an option I will have to put not recommend at thus time, but we will see after a couple months after being in the home and cooling down from the extra stress this put in myself and the family.

Hi Wesley,
I can understand why this process left you feeling frustrated and worn down. Having last-minute changes, extra documentation, and unexpected delays would make anyone feel like they were constantly jumping through hoops — especially when you’re trying to get your family settled into a new home. I’m really sorry that this experience added so much stress and that our communication didn’t feel proactive along the way.
I truly appreciate you sharing how you felt, even while it’s all still fresh. Feedback like yours helps us identify where we can be more organized and supportive for future homebuyers. I’d also like to take a closer look at your loan process to better understand what caused those last-minute changes. When you’re ready, please reach out to our Client Advocate team at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com. We’re in the office Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time.
Justin and team were fantastic! We have been looking for a home for almost 2 years and he kept in touch with us all along the way. Once we found our home the team worked quickly to get us a closing date and make it all happen. Great customer service! Great experience! Thank you for your support of veterans and their families.
Closing had to be rescheduled due to not receiving Certificate of Eligibility from the Veterans Administration.
At closing I was provide at least 3 different loan close out forms - all have different amounts to have a cashier check ready for the title company. When I did arrive for final closing none of these amounts were correct, requiring the title company to issue me a check for the balance due back to me. They then had to settle with Veterans United/and mortgage company. It would seen to me that they should be able to be more accurate with this. To me it shows a lack of attention to detail.

Hi Todd,
I’m sorry for the confusion you experienced at closing. I know how frustrating it must have been to prepare for one amount only to learn that the final figure had changed. Accuracy and clear communication are incredibly important, especially at that stage of the process, and I can understand why this felt disappointing.
I’d really like my people to take a closer look at what happened so we can see where things may have gone wrong and how to prevent similar issues in the future. Please reach out to my Advocate team at 1-800-212-5200 or email ClientAdvocate@vu.com. We’re available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time.
Our decision to work with Veterans United was simply the best due to our personal loan specialist Jimmy Stranz with the help of Josh Carlyon and Ashley Black, or as we call them "The Dream Team"!! From the very beginning we had constant contact with everyone through emails and phone calls and never felt that we were bothering them, which was very comforting when you are moving half way across the country and are already feeling isolated.
They made us feel confident and took some of the worry and stress away by guiding us through every turn!! Our only regret is that they live far away from us and we would love to pay them a visit with a huge hug and thank you for setting us on a path to our rest of forever!!!
Thank you VU and Dream Team for everything!!
Andrew consistently delivers exceptional service and goes above and beyond in every aspect of his work. He leads a dedicated and professional team that truly cares about their clients. I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone in search of a home. It’s always a pleasure working with them, and I deeply appreciate how much they genuinely care about my needs and strive for the best possible outcome.
Team did another great job for me! This was my third home purchased through VU and I’d buy again through them.
After my positive experience I wouldn’t recommend anyone else. 👍

The loan specialists, and other personnel, at Veterans United are complete professionals. They are completely knowledgeable about the home-buying process and help you understand everything as they guide you through the process. They are willing to go the extra mile to help get the information needed to get your loan through all phases. My loan specialist, Colin Park, made phone calls to the county courthouse in my home town to find out who I needed to talk to and where to go to get the documents needed to clear my credit reports. WHO DOES THAT!!! I am completely satisfied with the loan that I got, the realtor they referred to me and the home that I eventually purchased. My life is so much better now!
I wish we would have found Veterans United sooner! The absolute best experience we have ever had buying a home and refinancing! Highly recommend!
