If you’re looking for a fairly painless process when closing on your house and want to be treated like a person and not a giant cash bucket, Veterans United is a great lender to choose. We tried Bank of America for our first house and have shopped around for other lender options. None have given as good of a deal to us, and some of them have been altogether difficult if not impossible to communicate and work with. For example, with Bank of America we sent our paperwork over and over and over again. Each time they’d either tell us they hadn’t received it yet or would just leave us hanging for days, which meant we’d lose out on making a strong offer on a house. We finally gave up on them. With Veterans United, we sent our paperwork once each time and they got it the first time. They were speedy in providing preapprovals. They are on the ball.
