My personal circumstances made the loan process difficult and we had an appraisal issue that, to my understanding was irregular. However we came dangerously close to losing our property. It seemed that I was required to be far more involved in the process then I should have been. Based on my research it seems unless you are buying a cookie cutter property you should not get a government loan. I would be fine with using veterans united for refinancing purposes but for a purchase loan the process was too stressful and uncertain.

Lance, Damian, and Candice from the start to the end was excellent, supportive and knowledgeable team. Thank you so much for them.Jackie Branson, the loan coordinator was not helpful at all, she did not want to help and intend to make everything complicated, she was not clear in her requests so we had to go back and forth many time on the paper, she did not communicate with me, my realtor or my loan officer just to make us go in a circles and not close on the contracted date. We had to change the date twice.. she used to send emails at 4:30 pm on Friday just to keep us on hold for longer time, she did not send the disclosure three day before closing date, she was asking very stupid questions to the insurance company, and the seller realtor. She was claiming that she called the insurance company and they did return her calls, but that was not the situation..When I call her office, she never answers, and never return the call back. She used to say that I did not submit the documents that she requested on the portal, in the mean time everything was done and submitted on the portal, and when my loan officer asks her about an update she claims that I did not submit them. She is a total lie. She deserves to be fired...
I do not think that we as veterans deserve to be treated like that.
