My property purchase was difficult and an "As Is" contract. Two banks walked away, two mortgage companies walked away. Veterans Unitied Home Loans accepted the challenge without second thoughts. They were aware of VA waivers for minimum property requirements (MPR) and was ready for closing within 3 weeks. They went above and beyond even on the weekend to meet my closing deadline. Neil and his team wrnt above and beyond in my opinion. They made this process as painless as possible and if something came up they were on the phone with me explaining it. If for whatever reason I had a question they were always one call away. I would and will highly recommend them.
The one thing that I would change, is that Veterans United and other VA Lenders is to go to the military bases and attend National Guard Yellow Ribbon Events to explain the VA loan process to Soldiers leaving active duty or National Guard Soldiers returning from an overseas deployment. Servicemen and Women are told that they are eligible for this as many benefits of honorable service, but have no idea on how it works.
