It doesn’t matter if is 2 dollars or 2 million. We only get to use this loan once on a life time.

Response from Veterans United

Hi Vincent, One of the benefits of the VA home loan is that it is not a one-time benefit--you can use it over and over again! For borrowers looking to use their VA loan benefit a second time, they may have to look into using second-tier entitlement. Second-tier entitlement is an option to use what remains of your entitlement for a new home loan. One of the quirks of utilizing second-tier entitlement is that the VA requires a minimum loan amount of $144,001, and depending on how much entitlement remains, there may be a maximum amount you can borrow on a VA loan without needing to bring in a down payment.

Eligible service members and veterans can seek to have their full entitlement restored once the original loan is repaid in full or use their remaining entitlement to rent out their first home and purchase again with no down payment. The way to find out for sure how much entitlement is available to you is to order a new Certificate of Eligibility from the VA, which can be requested via the online eBenefits portal, by mail or fax, or by a lender on your behalf as part of a home loan application.

Also, in addition to Dawn Plank, Tyler Lentz, Loan Coordinator and Jeffrey Thompson, Home Buying Concierge were great in answering my questions and providing information. An overall great team for a great home buying experience!

We want to thank Veterans United, Tim Killday and their entire team for all the hard work behind the scenes. This was our 3rd time purchasing a home and it was the smoothest and simplest home buying experience of all.

I could not be more happy with the service I received from the entire veterans united team, chris Lunn and his team were amazing francis Sullivan was an amazing realtor and I would absolutely recommend each and every one of them to everyone I know! I was skeptical making the decision to use an online service but after talking with chris for our initial consultation I knew I made the proper decision.

Working with Brian Bradley & his team was the best home buying experience. It was easy & they were there to answer our questions every time. LeeAnn was great also and I can say that.

I never expected to be able to buy my own home. I started talking with Veteran's United with no expectation that I would be in my own home within a few months. Thank you so much for working so hard on my behalf to help me achieve this dream!

I should have started with Veterans United to begin with! I went with a local lender for my first mortgage, and they just didn't get how to handle VA loans although stating that they did. A lender not knowing the VA loan process caused a significant amount of stress and extra work with underwriters on my part to provide clarification on law and calculations related to how this type of loan works. Veterans United does this for a living. I was amazed at how organized their web interface was, and how streamlined they have their processes. The team assigned to me was professional and courteous, and made me feel like my refinance was the highest priority. I never knew that this process could be exciting and stress free, and that's what Veterans United has created here for you.

First time home buyers overall our experience we not as smooth as it should have been.... we had appraiser issues... we were told that after the initial issues were identified the appraiser had gone back and found new issues.... later came to find out that they had mixed up the houses which pushed us back 2 days on closing... how that even happened is beyond me
