I was not pleased with the my initial closing cost and monthly payment amounts changing significantly compared to my final closing costs and monthly payment. I used these initial estimates to compare with other lenders and likely may have chosen a different lender had I known Veterans United final figures would be so different. It was explained to me that this mostly had to do with erroneous estimates of state taxes, in which case, that should be better researched by your company in order to provide more honest and accurate initial numbers for the sake of consumer comparison.
