Overall, I had a positive experience working with Veterans United for my home purchase in Chicago. The team handled the VA loan requirements and appraisal efficiently and I appreciated the clear communication regarding the conditional approval and final clear to close.However, there were a couple of minor issues. I experienced some communication delays around some questions regarding my mail forwarding and the final cash to close was significantly higher than the initial estimate provided by the lender, which felt abnormal and was a bit of a surprise at the end. Despite these hurdles, the team ensured we stayed on track for a successful closing.
The entire process from start to finish was simple, easy, and seamless. Paired with a fantastic group of people who helped us every step of the way and kept our heads held high through the ups and downs of house hunting. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience for our furst time buying a home!
