I was recommended universal property for homeowners insurance by veterans united. Needless to say my policy was suspended on day one and still is. Even though a check was sent out and the title company gave them the check number. Needless to say it's still suspended and will not be back dated. Hopefully nothing happens to the house while it's suspended. I contacted my real estate agent majority of the time to get answers.

While VU is a great place to start. When you do your refinance I would suggest looking into other agencies for a better rate. I felt like mine was still a little high when I refinanced with VU, and as a it was my first time refinancing I didn’t know I could look elsewhere.
