Buying a home seemed so overwhelming at first, but with the help of my loan officer and his team, it couldn’t have been easier. The to-do list made it very simple to get all my ducks in a row for closing day and now I am a homeowner building a life with my family in a beautiful home.
Veterans United team gave me a lot of insight as a first time home buyer and handled any worry that came with the experience. This entire sale was stress free when it came to my.loan team. 100% will look foward to working with them again with any home buying.

The whole team was beyond helpful during a scary and unknown home buying experience. This was the first home for us so we were very inexperienced and the team made sure to be as detailed as possible in explaining the steps. I was not happy about the VA inspection and having to scrape and paint the garage but as Brad mentioned, it's done and won't need to be done after I moved in. I know that the VA inspection is sorry separate from Veterans United so that is nothing against ya'll, just a venting moment and you all helped to make sure we stayed on schedule with the closing date regardless of the speed bump. Thank you for the home welcoming package along with the personal card. It really meant allot to us and made us feel important. You all are the definition of customer service at its finest which you don't see anymore these days. Keep up the good work!
TRAVIS AND HIS TEAM MADE OUR FIRST TIME HOME LOAN EXPERIECE VERY PLEASANT. THEY HAVE ALWAYS TREATED US AS IF WE WERE THEIR ONLY CUSTOMER. THEY ARE ABOVE EXCELLENT BECAUSE THEY ARE ALWAYS ON TOP OF EVERY STEP OF THE LOAN PROCESS. Veterans United Home Loans was so amazing to work with. Literally one of the easiest "adult" things we've done. We were fighting a deployment countdown and Steve and his team really were so fantastic with getting everything to go so smoothly. Their attention to detail, coming up with suggestions tailored to us from start to finish was just outstanding. We are first time home buyers and the apprehension we had about buying a home in this crazy market, was quickly replaced with excitement. They made us feel so comfortable and were attentive at each step. We're so thankful for Steve, Marianne and the team helping us into our forever home!
Had to jump through hoops every time I thought we were almost there, was given more tasks and told something different. This was a new process for me and I said that I needed direction song the way. I had to always ask for it and what was expected of me. Had to drop the first house I wanted because I was not prepared for the amount of money at closing or needed down, would have been nice to know before I made an offer. Also I requested an amount for preapproval and was given. The realtor and the loan officer increased the amount when the realtor contacted him to say I wanted this money for a house. I never said that and told them both how could they make that decision and change the preapproval without consulting me???
I got another realtor as this was untrustworthy and she was recommended by Veterans United.
I was also told we are ready for closing. Then the next day get an email from the loan officer, you need to pay off this credit card of $500 or you can’t get the loan. ???? And wanted me to print a statement from the credit card that day saying it was paid. What credit card company gives you a statement within 12 hours from paying it. When I gave him a screen shot he says that won’t be enough. So I told him how do I get a statement when it comes out at the end of the month? He sends me an email and says since this seems to difficult for you to do we will just have to do without it.
The tone and the condescending remarks aren’t necessary
I also told him when I sold my current home I wanted to put the money right on the loan and his response was “ well it’s not going to bring down your monthly payment”. Do you think I want any recommendations from him, no. I have contacted someone from another company to give me advice on how to handle my money and pay this loan off so I can be done with Veterans.
I heard so many good things about Veterans and was more than disappointed with my experience.No I won’t be recommending Veterans and I don’t need to hear from this loan officer any more.
