Best decision I ever made and the simper fit socks along with the welcome mate personalized brought a seance of ownership to a once homeless vet long before the closing date
Literally horrible experience with Veterans United. Twice I almost just stopped the whole process and went with another lender/just went back to renting. Communication was not great through the entire process.
Response from Veterans United
Thank you for the feedback Brandon. We agree that communication is key and if you run in to any issues during your loan process our Client Advocate team is here to help. They also remain available after closing if you would like to discuss your experience in detail.
This was by far the best home buying experience we have had. Jon and the team were professional, friendly, and genuinely cared about helping us get the best deal possible. We would highly recommend Veterans United!
Very good company to deal with.
Our experience with Veterans United was fantastic. Out of all of the banks and authorized lenders we called, queried, or otherwise sought out for our VA loan, Veterans United had the greatest customer service. Everyone on the team we were assigned to was ready and willing to help us with any questions, and they walked us through the process step by step- from pre-approval, to home searching, to closing. Our loan officer, Karol Hart, was so fantastic she even gave us a list of her best recommended local realtors- one of whom we actually took on and I have to say, I'm so glad we did. We went from offer to closing in about 30 days and that's phenomenal for a VA loan. Veterans United was definitely acting in our best interest with their efficiency, keeping tabs on interest rates, and answering all of our questions. Highly, highly recommend their service and we will be working with them again in the future.
Veterans United Home Loans are a God send for all veterans! They break down all of the confusing terminology & paperwork to make this a fast seamless process that makes getting a first mortgage or refi an absolute breeze! I purchased my home in March 2016. I called Ben in March 2019 & it was as if I was talking to an old friend! In basically 4 weeks he & his awesome team had my cash-out refi done & the funds are in my account! Incredible Service!!

Experience first-hand why 315,540 homeowners give us a perfect score!
It was a pleasure working with Veterans United. From the first day until the end, everyone was super helpful. We only had a short time to purchase a home and they never made us feel like it was impossible or too short of notice. It was a very quick and easy process with Veterans United. They matched us with a real estate agent in the area we were looking who is familiar with the VA Loans and she also made this a very easy process. I highly recommend Veterans United!
Simply put.....The McKenzie Family is grateful to Veterans United Home Loans on their side.
First off, I want to say that my evaluation is based off being a first time home buyer; so I don't really have any data to compare it to. When I first engaged with Veterans United (VU), the company was very attentive. I was assigned a specialist right away (Mitch), who answered any questions I had. Unfortunately, it took us almost seven months to find a home. Up until we found the home, I have no complaints and I loved all the educational tools VU provides. Once I found my home, the waters became a little muddy. Again, I don't know what the normal procedures are and so I have to base this complaint based on my Realtor, the Title company, and family/friends experiences with buying houses. I felt there was a lack of communication on the back end of this process. We submitted any requested paperwork with 15-30 mins of being asked to do so. Whatever happened after that took much longer. Although it seemed someone else on Mitch's end was the cause of the problem, he never mentioned them and took full responsibility; I admire that! We were originally slated to close on April 25th; we finally closed on May 3rd. During this time, I felt like I had no idea what was going on and it was very difficult to get any updates on the progress. The whole thing seemed very clandestine. Don't get me wrong, Mitch always responded to inquiries... but the information was not very informative. Despite asking on more than one occasion, I never did find out what the hold up was... I guess I'll never find out. After we missed the initial close date, I finally did get a Initial Closing Disclosure; which had some incorrect information. I was told it would be updated and the finial disclosure would be provided for my review. I was provided the finial disclosure about 30 minutes before my appointment to close with the title company. Thankfully my Realtor was able to text me the amount I needed to bring to the closing table; were I was able to finally see the Disclosure as I went over it with the tittle company.Mitch advised me this was all normal and after we (Realtor, Title Company, spouse, and myself) wiped the sweat from our hands and brow... we did get the closing completed. In summary, I wished there would have been better communication throughout the entire experience, especially in the end when it counted the most. I'm sure I wasn't the only customer Mitch was working with... and I understand things happen. I just wanted to have more "hand holding" along the way since I was a first time buyer.
Veterans United is a very awesome company. This was my first time buying a home and being able to use my VA Loan to do it. I was recommended to Bill Musick from my friend who is a Realtor. I didn’t think it was going to be possible for me to buy a house. All I can say is that just do exactly what they say and do your stuff in a timely manner and things will go great. My Realtor and Bill Musick did majority of the stuff needed and all I had to do was make sure all my To Do Items were done as quick as possible. I thought it was going to be a real pain and stressful buying a house. It absolutely wasn’t at all. Follow there guides and do all the research that’s available on there website and things will flow nicely. I will be recommending Veterans United to anyone I know looking to buy a house and refer them to Bill Musick and his team.
The loan team that guided me through the process was knowledgeable, thorough, quick to respond and easy to work with. No question I asked was too dumb, they got me an answer that was easy to understand so that I could make decisions. If I ever needed to do another VA finance or refinance these are folks I'd want to do business with.
