Not enough time between final numbers and closing to wire money

Everyone was amazing! From start to finish if I had questions or concerns, they were quickly answered and addressed. Thank you all for this wonderful experience and helping me become a homeowner.

Smooth, exceptional, professional, friendly,. Would definitely use them!!!

Veterans United is a great company for making your home buying process smooth and efficient. Professionals who were with you every step of the way and ALL were extremely knowledgeable and professional. This purchase was NOT my 1st home and I have dealt with other financial institutions in the past and Veterans United made it a pleasant experience. Plus we were able to close 4 days early! I highly recommend them to anyone looking to buy a home.

What can I say other than how impressed I was and am with how your whole team basically took me by the hand in a process as nerve wracking as this and leading me through it all step by step to a very satisfying end. You have my thanks and gratitude. If it were possible I would recommend Arron for a promotion. He truly deserves it.

Denise and her team were outstanding. They made sure I understood everything that was going on during my loan request. They answered every call, email and text. They ensured all my paperwork was completed and correct. My loan process was seamless.

Veteran United needs to do a better job when working with Soldiers that are overseas. A lot of issues could have been prevented if they understood on how to work with overseas Service Members. There was alot of time waisted for signing the closing documents the title person Kim King was the worst she had no empathy and demanded that things were done in a timely manner as someone who would be in the states even as I explained multiple times that I was overseas. She had an attitude at times and by the end I only found out that everything with the closing documents went through because my realtor and Andrea informed me. I recieved no notification from anyone that reviewed this. I would never recommend Veteran United and as a matter of fact I've already told a few colleagues that were looking to buy to stay away, since the way I was treated and how all this went was horrible. They did honor the expenses for my sister traveling to Hattiesburg to sign on my behalf but that was the least the could've done since it was in vain since at the end I had to sign by mail in and this could've been the way to do it since day one instead of having me send POAs and one incorrect closing signing documents which overall cost me over 150 dollars. I am still thinking on submitting a complain to the VA since the whole process was unacceptable.
Response from Veterans United
Hi Edwin,
First off, I just want to say I’m really sorry for how frustrating and exhausting this process was — especially while you were overseas. You deserved a smoother experience, and I completely understand how the lack of communication and flexibility around your unique situation made a tough process even harder.
Working with deployed or overseas Service Members is something we take very seriously, and it’s clear we didn’t meet the mark this time. Your time and service should’ve been met with more understanding, especially when it came to navigating POAs, closing logistics, and making sure you were in the loop every step of the way. I hate that you had to carry the burden of extra costs and confusion — it just shouldn't have played out like that.
I’d really like for my team to have the chance to look into what happened here and make sure your concerns are heard. If you’re open to it, please reach out to us at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com. We’re in the office from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST, Monday through Friday, and we’d appreciate the opportunity to learn from this and do better.
Veterans United did outstanding! My entire loan team worked tirelessly to make sure everything was perfect, and that my first home buying experience was one to remember forever. The idea of buying a home always seemed like a daunting and exhausting experience, but my team assured me that was not the case at all! I will recommend all of my prior service/active duty friends to Veterans United!

Jordan, Ashley and Bailey what a team to have!! Thank you so much for the work you put in and for making me feel like I couldn’t lose with you guys having my back.

Thank you to everyone who helped me. I have already recommended Veterans United to one of my coworkers.

I stumbled on to veterans united after attempting to work with other lenders. one was regular civilian the other a veteran focused organization. Both pale in comparison to the service and ability to simply be closers as far as taking one from application to the signing table. Veterans united was able to achieve what their haters said they could not. I wish I saved myself a few credit inquiries and went straight to VU. The attention to detail, ability to communicate and strategize is unmatched. VU should be considered the industry standard.

Veterans United and their team of home buying professionals are the creme de le creme when it comes to helping Veterans become home owners. Its like having the 4 time Super Bowl Champions Kansas City Chiefs as your home buying team and ensuring you reach your Super Bowl of owning and closing your dream home where you are the MVP. I would highly recommend them to all my family and friends any day of the week!
