My overall experience was Grand, They made the paperwork process a breeze. The login portal also lets you know what stage your at on your home buying journey. If you have any questions just give them a call, Also if your in the Jacksonville nc area i highly recommend Theresa Saunders, i definetely will refer friends looking.

The seller and I didn't have a realtor so I was responsible for doing a lot of the leg work but it did save a lot of money for both of us. Beware of "points". I did get a great rate so I'm not upset. The maximum origination fee is a little frustrating considering that over the life of the loan if they don't bundle and sell the loan, the "Mortgage Research Agency" will make six figures in interest. Out of pocket closing costs were still within reasonable limits. The welcome door mat they sent was a nice touch! :) Overall a good and minimally frustrating experience.

I talk highly of Veteran's United and will continue to recommend to all my friends and family.

Veterans United and their staff were very professional. They made my home buying experience a pleasent one. Moving from out of state can be trying to say the least, but with my loan team and my realtor, they made it simple for my transition. Thank you so much!

Over the years I have owned quite a few houses and the process with VU was the best experience ever.

Veterans United is the best! We are so happy we got the opportunity to be apart of this family!

The platform and concept of Veterans United is great. But the loan specialist was horrendous. We managed to successfully close the deal on the house but our specialist struggled immensely to keep up with our needs. It felt like he was an extremely inexperienced loan specialist and/or a poor communicator. He dropped the ball on several occasions with different deadlines which forced us to push closing back by a few weeks. He promised us things that he simply did not deliver on. He told us that he would credit us in the end on our closing costs due to his mistakes but we ended up paying far more than what is average for a house of this cost in this area.Working with the loan specialist was honestly the worst part of the home buying experience.
Response from Veterans United
Thank you for sharing openly and honestly with us. We understand that the process of buying a home can be discouraging at times. For that reason, we are always looking to support your customer experience with excellent care. If you feel there were ways we could have better handled the process, then please give us a call to share more. Our Client Advocate team is always eager to listen and take action whenever possible.

Overall good experience, A few things I do not agree with like having to pay to keep my rate locked in twice due to things I had no control over. I know you took it out of closing costs but in the end the seller increased the price of the home to accommodate having to pay the closing costs so technically I paid the closing costs so the rate lock came from my pocket.
