Veterans United isn’t a bad company. I just wish I would’ve spoken to a few more lenders. Biggest complaint was the lack of communication coupled with unprofessionalism with the loan officer. Everything else was fine.
I don’t like how the system just shoots me an email saying I have x documents to fill out. I would have much preferred to have had someone call and explain things and ask if I had questions for the more in depth document requests. I was left stressed and confused when I received some of it and felt like a burden to be reaching out every time I got an email. Other than that my experience was good with Rachel’s team. The process was quick and simple due to everything being online.
If you are looking for a lender that treats you with respect, answer your questions as soon as possible, put you at ease when you have concerns and are super understanding! Then Veterans United Home Loans is the right fit for you! I am beyond satisfied with the process and how they treated me!
Buying a home as a military family is often unconventional. For us, it meant video tours of homes we thought we loved online. Everyone at Veterans United, from our loan specialist to our real estate agent, worked closely with us to ensure there were no major issues. When PCSing with a baby and a dog, being able to move directly into our home without delay made an incredible difference. Should we find ourselves on the market for a new home in the future, we won’t hesitate to work with Veterans United again.

Veterans United made the process of buying my first home a year ago almost stress-free and I recently refinanced my home because the interest rates dropped so it made a significant difference in my monthly mortgage payment. But I think the reason this refinancing and original purchase of my home was easy and almost stress-free is mostly due to the Loan specialist that helped me.
