Veterans united made this process so easy, I loved every minute that I spent with my team. We had some bumps in the road a couple times but my team had it all handled and made me feel completely taken care of at all times.
The VA provides an invaluable service to its military service members and retirees. Interest rates are very competitive. I understand the need for the VA Funding Fee but if the VA were truly providing a service to all, it should be a single fee for all regardless of a downpayment or not. If I have to pay, it’s really not a meaningful service to the people it supports.
I have used VU twice to buy homes. They are the very best I have ever experienced. Over the years I have bought and sold several homes. VU is by far the leader in getting it done, customer service and support. Kat and her team keep you informed, go the extra mile to get what ever needs done complete. Bottom line…they are the top of the mountain for Veterans!

There should be a box that gets checked indicating if the property has some kind of land lease because the land lease inspection and should be something the seller has to disclose
This team was the total package! Our first time home buying experience couldn’t have been better! No question was too small and no request too big! They worked quickly and I never lost communication with anyone! I talked to our loan officer and Realestate agent almost daily. We were kept up to date every step of the way! I just want to say the biggest THANK YOU to Taylor, Jake, Katie, and Hanna. There was about a year gap from when I spoke with Taylor to me reaching back out to him and I’m glad I did. The other lender I was working with was accommodating until things hit a seriously unfavorable snag at which point I reached back out to Taylor. I was simply paranoid that I wasn’t going to be able to get the new build my family and I had been working on since August 2024 since we were not going to be able to use my spouse’s income anymore. In a hail mary I just wanted to find out how much house I would qualify for with just my income and to my surprise, Taylor and the team told me that they could still close me on our custom new build. This was all less than 2 months from my scheduled closing which is now complete. I will forever sing the praises of my experiences with Veteran United and recommend Taylor Holman, Jake Tecklenburg, Katie Burkemper, and Hanna Schwartz by name.
