I knew that I wanted a home, but from the stories I’ve heard I was expecting a long drawn out stressful process. Brad from the beginning explained everything to me thoroughly, and after seeing a few homes that I didn’t like the realtor asked me about my personal home
Style preferences. She found a home that I feel in love with, within a month and we closed out in almost 30 days. I’m truly great for Brad and his entire team as well as the realtors.
It did seem like it took more than a few days to get the final closing cost figure. Fortunately I was able to get a cashiers check sent overnight by FedEx and it arrived on time. Otherwise I would have had to drive 4 hours to get the money wired to the title company.
Veterans United is a wonderful team in buying a home. I found them accidentally and I’m so glad I did. The team has experts in all facets of the real estate process. They are all invaluable in making the buying process smooth and easy. I would recommend them to anyone who is interested in buying a home.
It was difficult to get ahold of anyone at veterans United. Their communication was terrible and if they did communicate it was through our realtor to us which made things difficult. We were told an hour before closing of money that needed to be paid. The closing fees tacked on were astronomical and when asked for a break down of the numbers it felt like they were hesitant to oblige. It would have been better to go through a local lender even though we were not from the area we were buying. The only decent thing to come out of it was we were matched with a decent realtor. The entire process was stressful and from here on my family will be using exclusively local lenders.

We were amazed on how fast we got our forever home. It only took us around 2months from start to finish. Veterans if you don't have your own home I definitely would go with this company.
