Veteran's United from the beginning provided an extremely knowledgeable and professional team. This was the easiest, fastest and low stress home buying my wife and I have ever done. Even the title company was very impressed by the flawless execution of how my loan officer Matthew Thayer and Rachel King executed the process from pre-approval to close. The process of buying a home should not be stressful, it should be all Veterans United and stress free!!
Thanks to: Matthew Thayer-Loan Officer and Rachel King -Closing specialist!! Both rated 10+++
From start to finish everyone associated with the process was amazing. They made sure i was taken care of and helped me out with everything every step of the way. Even got a tailor made gift box. I mentioned my dog and that the property I found had the perfect spot for my green house so they sent a gift box with dog treats and a bunch of cool stuff to help with my garden.
This is the 3rd time I’ve bought a house with Veterans United and it’s been the easiest process I’ve ever been through. Emmy and Erika have been amazing!
I can’t thank you guys enough!
Only problem was ensign issues with programming …
No doubt Veterans United is the best out there! I did shop around and Veterans United had the lowest fees and the lowest interest rates. Tanner is the very best at what he does. I whole heartedly would recommend Veterans United, and I will definitely work with them again and request Tanner to ne my Loan Officer.
Outstanding job, I couldn’t have asked for a smoother ride. Especially for my first real home that wasn’t on post. Heard nothing but horror stories on home buying from family and friends. But you guys made it a cake walk. Thank you.
The entire VU team and the real waste agent made this first-time home buying experience a breeze. Rachel and the team were very responsive and handled all issues as quickly as possible to even help close a day earlier than originally anticipated.
Veterans United was amazing to work with. Thank you so much for all y'all did for us.
Appreciated all there hard work and helping me purchase my first home
Best of the best
Excellent
This was only my second time using your service and it started out fine but once the underwriter got involved it went downhill. The underwriter notified us three days before our original closing date that the water test results were not within EPA regulations and needed to be addressed. First off, the chemical results in question were not a federally enforced requirement (they were for pH and alkalinity) and secondly, there was no way to correct the issue in that short a time (especially when the results had been submitted two weeks earlier). I questioned this requirement and even called the VA to verify if this was an issue as far as they were concerned and was told no. I then called my loan officer, to inform him of the VA's position, and he said he would talk to the underwriter. Again the underwriter stuck to his requirement that the water be retested and meet EPA standards. This forced us to miss our second closing date and reschedule a third. We did get a plan in motion to address the water issue as is it did require attention to avoid future problems was should not have been a deal breaker for my loan. I then researched the websites for United Veterans, the EPA and the VA for any information regarding this water issue. Nothing I found stated this was an issue required to be fixed prior to approving a loan. I then placed all this in an email to my loan officer stating I expected an answer concerning our clear to close or /i would be forced to call others at United Veterans and the VA as I was (at that time) a homeless vet due to the delays in closing on my house. Eventually my loan officer called and said the water issue was resolved (after he took it up his chain of command) and we could move forward. I believe this should have happened as soon as I pointed out that the water results in question were not a safety issue and not a second-tier issue that the EPA did not enforce. By having to wait from 08/24/2023 to 09/08/2023 in order to close, due to what I consider a lack of knowledge on your employee's part, I was actually homeless for a week as I had moved out of my residence on 07/31/2023. This was a bad experience with your company, and I felt I was more invested in getting my loan approved than they were. (Luckily my previous experience was much better and I have not been completely turned off to your company.)
Our team with Veterans United was phenomenal. Our home purchase was wrought with complexities and unusual circumstances, and they were able to get us through it all. Yesterday I picked up the deed for our home and this was the close of a tumultuous chapter. Our home is ours and that’s a blessing. Thanks to Jon, Rob and the entire team. Andy and Angella.
The beginning of our search was extremely stressful due to the market and our living situation. Kyle was exceptional with dealing with my stress and had had my emotions grounded when dealing with the loan process. Can't express enough how greatfull I am to have somone like Kyle on our team.
I can't say enough good things about Jake, Melissa, and the whole team, they bent over backward to make this purchase as easy and quick as possible.
