1. Some of the miscommunications between each party involved made things more difficult than they should have been, i.e., the home inspection and appraisal. I was told conflicting information from the realtor and lender at which point each should occur.2. The situation involving the child support I pay on a monthly basis was provided of my own volition, I uploaded an unsigned court order that my ex-wife and I were currently following, I was then told I needed to provide a signed copy which we had still not gone to court to resolve the issue, because I could not provide that sign copy I was required to show validation through my attorney that it was not court ordered. I found this to be unnecessary given that I had already provided it was not required in the first place.3. There was an issue regarding a credit card I had applied for and never received, which I was told I needed to provide a statement for, I was unable to do so because I never received the card to set up the account, Citi Bank requires I have the card to set up an account. I then provided valid information showing that I had never received a card to set up the account, and was still told I need to show a statement. The hoops I had to jump through in order to get you guys a statement for something that never existed was absolutely absurd.Footnote:I found the seller to be an extremely shiesty person, I was frequently told that the seller wanted to "pull out", or "cancel the entire deal" due to things not going quick enough, which would've left me and my significant other without all of our savings, which left me in a constant state of anxiety compounding on my already deteriorating mental condition.Because this is my first home and I did not recognize many of the problem areas I was supposed to look for, I have found a lot of terrible issues with the property;Large quantities of broken glass shards of metal and nails, buried trash and batteries throughout the yard,Doors that would not lock properly, and door jams improperly fitted leaving large gaps to the outdoors,Items requiring caulk or sealant for any bathroom or kitchen sink, tubs or showers were not used,And multiple plumbing fittings not to code. After all was said and done and still been repaired I've spent over $6000 in repairs that should have been the standard.I do not think this previous paragraph involves the lending company directly, I do however think it should be a strong warning against anyone working with or buying from this seller again.

Veterans United showed my wife and I that there are businesses out here that look out for veterans and their families. We got a team working for us to help us through the entire home buying process. Thanks Veterans United!

I came to them blind and empty handed looking for a house. They helped me through the process and stayed in touch through text email and sometimes phone which covered all bases and before I knew it i got my keys.

Overall the whole process of buying a home went great. The one area I had an issue with was with getting home insurance. The rest of the team I felt had my back and worked hard to get me in my new home, but I didn't get that from my VA Insurance agent. Instead of helping me with quotes that work, my Insurance agent was stuck on one policy and didn't seem willing to look at quotes from other companies. Instead, I was stuck trying to get Home Insurance on my own and almost didn't make the deadline, very stressful.

You need to let everyone know up front exactly what is needed for the loan. I personally think the only thing relevant to a VA loan is are you a veteran, how much money do you get, how much do you owe, what the house cost, and what your credit score is. Everything else is irrelevant.
