The process was easy and fast. I think since we all worked together as a team we were able to do the closing in a month. Very professional and will use Veterans United in the future.

I was told from my realtor Matthew was very rude and unprofessional to her at times. We were in underwriting for 4 weeks and during those 4 weeks somehow no one knew there was a well that needed a well test until the appraisal came back even though it was listed in the MLS and on the contract. Making it a challenge for closing on time. Also I was not aware there was a possibility of needing a land survey and was never asked about it u til 2 days before closing. Luckily it was unneeded. But if it was needed that would have held up closing. I think the documents were not gone over or watched close enough. This process absolutely needs to improve so everything is asked about and requested with ample time to get it.

Response from Veterans United

Hi Brandon,

We appreciate your point of view and understand how it can be frustrating when unexpected delays occur. Your comments have helped us consider ways to influence third parties and help them improve communication with one another. We are sorry to hear that well inspection caused concern and disrupted your process. We have to confirm a well on the property via the VA appraisal, regardless of what is listed on the MLS or contract, but it does look like as soon as we had confirmation, we were able to have the inspection completed within days. Our Client Advocate team will use your comments to ensure we are considering ways to improve, and we hope your new home serves you well in the future.

The reason I gave Veterans United a 3 is because the entire process after putting in an offer was aggravating to say the least. Mike Dianics knew quite a bit and answered very quickly. Kelcey Torrez tried to answer things for what she knew. She was not knowledgeable on how to deal with veterans. She also, repeatedly had me and the realtor send the same documents repeatedly but did not give a reason why. Majority of the time, she would ask for things and never explained what it was for and for quite a few things she was asking for the wrong things because she didn’t know what she was looking at or for. Maybe she is new? It wasn’t until I worked with someone else name Sarah I think and she was very helpful, explained things in detail. To bad she didn’t remain the loan coordinator. Also, I kept getting told I would meet standards but then last minute 4 days before close, I was told we didn’t meet and they didn’t my non borrowing spouses info. We did that and then they asked for more and more documents about the student loans. In the end, they didn’t need it and we still got to close a week and half later.

Hi Diana,

Thank you for taking the time to complete our online review, and we apologize if you felt there were unnecessary delays during your process. We are dedicated to making clear requests and assisting customers in providing documentation that is necessary to close the loan. Delivering exceptional customer service is important to all of us at Veterans United. While we cannot change the experience you had we want to ensure that no other customers have this same experience in the future. Our hope is that your home serves you well and we invite you to connect with us for any needs in the future. Please do reach out to us if you would like to discuss your experience further.
