The process to buying a home is definitely a wild roller coaster. It had its up and its downs but with such an amazing team that worked close at hand with my realtor, not only did they get my family into our new home, but they helped me look for the cheapest and easiest route! Honestly, the entire time their team made us feel like our home buying experience mattered to them. There was a point where Veteran's United should have delegated a different point of contact, (we made an offer on a house the same weekend our loan officer had a baby). Even though he was on paternity leave, the loan officer responded with what we needed to do, albeit concisely.
Later, we had an issue with an appraisal delay. I am pregnant and we'd planned on closing exactly a month before our due date. But we found out the closing was delayed (thanks to the appraisal) the same day I found out from the doctor that baby would need to come out 3 weeks early. When I explained the situation, the mortgage team did everything they could through the holidays to get a closing date sooner than the new baby date. And the day we got approved to close, they sent us a signed card, stuffed animal, and book for the new baby.
If you're a first time home buyer, I would HIGHLY recommend Veterans United. Taylor and Natalie made the process so simple and the videos were super helpful! The VU website is user friendly. I was terrified of the home buying process and am now shocked at how simple it was...all thanks to my team :). Thank you Veterans United for changing our lives!
