It is my first experience buying a house for my family and I must honestly say that the entire VeteransUnited team is really incredible and very helpful.

Everyone I dealt with at VU was amazing. Detailed and quick to respond. Very diligent in their work and welcoming customer service.

I know it’s a business but to get my closing document along with the sale of my loan to another company that that’s some BULLSH**. Found that to be pretty unprofessional since I will have nothing else to do with this company after that happened
Response from Veterans United
Hi Johnathon,
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. I'm really sorry to hear about the frustration you felt upon receiving your closing documents along with learning your loan was to be sold to another company. I understand how disheartening and unprofessional this must have felt, especially when you were expecting to continue working with us.
We do state that the servicing of your loan may be transferred on your initial Loan Estimate (on page 3), which is generally received at the very beginning of your loan process. While it's common in the mortgage industry for loans to be sold, we should have done a better job communicating this possibility and ensuring you felt supported throughout the entire process.
We're not set up to keep all loans for the long term, we are looking towards that goal. In the meantime, we only work with servicers that we have a good working relationship with, which allows us to collaborate in case of any concerns regarding your loan. A loan servicing transfer in no way reflects on your loan or how much we value you as a customer of Veterans United Home Loans.
We understand there can be questions surrounding a loan transfer to a new company, and we want to emphasize that Veterans United staff are still here to support you with assistance if needed. If you have any concerns, please let us know! Our customer service supervisors can answer questions and concerns regarding a loan servicing transfer at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com.

Be sure your closing attorney does not go on vacation or meetings the week you are to close!

Veterans United helped me out in a way no other bank would in a pretty desperate time of need. Sincerely grateful for them and would recommend to any service member that’s looking to buy a new home.

Veterans United was the best benefit for my military service. They made the process for this first time buyer to get a home in a quick, efficient and trouble free manner. I would recommend Veterans United for the first pick in achieving home ownership.

Ryan and the team are the BEST. We couldn't be more satisfied with with our experience after losing our first home. There was zero prejudice, just superb service. My Family thanks you ALL!

Overall the process was great and the team was always there to offer support or assistance. I would recommend them to any other veterans looking to buy and would use them again in the future if needed.

We have now purchased 3 homes through Veterans United, if we purchase in the future we will absolutely be using them again they are amazing to deal with, a seamless process, especially Zane and his team. Thank you!!!

Veterans United is definitely the agency to go with when it comes to buying your home. They truly make sure you feel like you are a part of a family! I'm grateful to them for making my dream of buying my first home come true!

I'd have to say everyone at veterans united was extremely pleasant to work with. They were prompt, courteous, and always had a kind word. Amazing crew!!!

Everyone involved did an amazing job getting my wife and myself in this house. Could not be more pleased!☺️ Thank you everyone!!☺️❤️

I loved this whole home buying move! This team made it exceptional for me I got the home of my dreams... Thanks a million ❤️

There were many times where questions went unanswered until I followed up multiple times. I was not notified of things promptly when time was of the essence. I felt as if it weren’t for me staying on top of everyone I would not have been able to close on the home when I did. Also my closing cost was increased multiple times within the last week or two before closing just to end up getting almost half of it back.

Hi Brent,
I'm really sorry to hear about your experience. Discussing the details around your final closing figures is part of our commitment to deliver outstanding service. While we do not directly control the majority of these costs like taxes and insurance, we do appreciate your calling attention to this aspect and we value your feedback. It sounds like you had a tough time with that communication and unexpected changes to your closing costs, which is definitely not what we want for our clients. I get how frustrating it must have been to feel like you had to stay on top of everything to make sure things moved forward.
I'd love to look into this further and see what happened. If you can, please reach out to us at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com, so we can dive into the details and try to make sure this doesn't happen again.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We’re in the office from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST Monday through Friday, but please reach out anytime.

Great service, patience, and understanding. I will definitely be back in the future and hope to work with Vishal Patel, Madison Steinkamp, and their team again. Highly recommended.

Surprisingly, a smooth process!
